The third chapter of the Handbook on asylum and migration (Handbook „Protecting the Rights of Migrants in the Republic of Serbia“ and the Online Course on asylum and migration) deals with an exceptionally important tenet of prohibition of expulsion. Its enforcement in accordance with provisions of the Geneva Convention Relating to the Status of Refugees, and in keeping with the European Union law, is analyzed, as well as various dimensions of the European Convention on Human Rights’ tenet of prohibition of expulsion as well as the case law of the European Court of Human Rights. The prohibition of expulsion in the legal order of Republic of Serbia is also examined from several other points of view – in the context of international protection, subsidiary protection, standards of the asylum procedure itself and in the context of assessing the risk of persecution.
