About the Migration training center

The Migration Training Center was created as a part of the project „Support to Strengthening Migration and Asylum Management in Serbia“ in order to establish sustainable structure for delivery of trainings, support continuous making of advanced training programs and plans as well as utilization of customized tools.

Under the project, support is provided to the Commissariat for Refugees and Migration to set up the Training Center, under Article 13 of the Law on Migration Management, which stipulates that the Commissariat for Refugees and Migration shall ensure training and capacity building given that it is a centralized actor in the field of migration and asylum management. The support envisaged under this project also encompasses the first stage of reconstruction of an existing facility in state ownership – management building of „Agrobanat“ in Plandište – as a form of long-term support to the establishment of a Center, but also technical support in the making of training programs and plans and development of training capacities, which will contribute to execution of future training programs.

The project integrates knowledge transfer, creation of new tools and renewal of resources from previous similar interventions such as existing handbooks and training programs, available trainers, partnerships, training approaches, operationalization of procedures...

It means that training resources that had been prepared within this project will continue to be used in the future both within the Training Center itself and on the Training Center platform (i.e. this website).
